Smartphone cameras, orders down. Only Huawei increases them
Largan Precision, a company specializing in the supply of modules for smartphone lenses, has published its financial report for April and the guidelines for the next quarter. From these data we can deduce a monthly drop in orders for smartphone cameras 14%, and approximately 6% on an annual basis.
The forecasts for the period April-June 2020 are not good and for this reason Samsung would have reduced orders by 30%. Oppo would have done the same thing, while Xiaomi would have contained the reduction between 10 and 20%.
Those who have not adjusted the downward forecast are Huawei: the Chinese manufacturer would have even increased its orders by about 5-10%, in anticipation of a restart of the Chinese market, which first came out of the emergency caused by the epidemic of coronavirus.
