Gboard: Google tests notes suggestions
According to a discovery by 9 to 5 Google, the Mountain View giant is conducting tests on a new feature that will add some Gboard keyboard tips for the classic copy-paste. In detail, the feature will allow users to quickly access recently copied or cut text to paste it directly from the suggestion bar above the keyboard.
This will happen automatically when a user enters a text field, reducing the need to long press to bring up the options.
It also appears that Google has made sure that passwords are also obscured and displayed with ellipsis rather than plain text.
The hint will appear immediately after a word or phrase has been cut and should only work where the cut or copied text is relevant. For example, copying a URL and then going to YouTube to paste it would be quite useless and the suggestion on the clipboard will not appear even for such an action.
